Those looking to support their local athletic teams this season have two opportunities coming up.
The Half Moon Bay High School girls basketball program is serving up its annual tri-tip dinner. The dinner for four includes tri-tip roast, potato salad, beans, rolls and dessert. A vegetarian option is also available.
The tri-tip dinner pickup is scheduled for 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the Half Moon Bay High School faculty parking lot. Members of the basketball team will deliver the dinners to your car.
Advance purchase is required. Dinners cost $60. Money earned directly supports the Half Moon Bay girls basketball program.
Deadline to purchase the tri-tip diner is Friday. To purchase a diner, email Antonio Veloso at firstname.lastname@example.org.
If getting in shape is your goal, Empowered Fitness has a unique opportunity that also supports local teams. There are three options to help.
The first includes one month of fitness classes for $97. The entire amount is donated back to Half Moon Bay High School athletic programs. Option 2 involves participating in the GetLean Challenge 28-Day Nutrition Program. The cost for the program is $199 with $97 being donated back to the high school athletic program. A third option includes both one month of fitness classes and the GetLean Challenge 28-Day Nutrition Program. Total cost is $296 with $194 donated back to the program.
“We always are trying to give back to the schools and to the community,” said Empowered Fitness owner Diana Inglis. “It has become a perfect win-win. The money you spend is going right back to the program.”
