Man cited for imitation firearm, narcotics

A 23-year-old El Granada man was cited at around 10 p.m. on Nov. 20 for reportedly carrying an imitation firearm that was concealed in his waistband. 

Authorities say the man was also in possession of five narcotic pills that were not prescribed to him.   A San Mateo County Sheriff’s deputy contacted the man after stopping his vehicle on Capistrano Road.

The man was cited and released on his promise to appear in court. 

 

Half Moon Bay

11:41 p.m., Nov. 19, Highway 92

Jorge Luis Alvarez Flores, a 20-year-old Half Moon Bay man, was allegedly found to be in possession of 74 controlled substance pills that were in an unlabeled container. Flores was also reportedly in possession of a large amount of cash. He was arrested and transported to the San Mateo County jail.

9:30 p.m., Nov. 10, Highway 1

A 22-year-old Davis man was cited for reportedly driving with a suspended license. 

10:58 p.m., Nov. 19, Main Street

A 24-year-old unincorporated San Mateo County resident was cited for reportedly driving with a suspended license. 

Vandalism

6 p.m., Nov. 20, Oak Avenue

A man alerted authorities to his keyed vehicle and believed that his neighbor was responsible for the damage. The neighbor reportedly denied the claim and the man declined to seek prosecution. 

 

La Honda

4:20 a.m., Nov. 20., Slate Creek Road

Deputies conducted a probation search on a 48-year-old unincorporated San Mateo County resident. They determined that the woman was in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. The woman was cited and released on her promise to appear in court. 

Petty theft

7 p.m., Nov. 20, La Honda Road

Someone took roughly $200 worth of tools from a trailer.

9 a.m., Nov. 17, Slate Creek Road

A deputy talked with a 48-year-old unincorporated San Mateo County resident who was reportedly wanted on a misdemeanor warrant out of San Mateo County. The woman was arrested and transported to the San Mateo County jail.

6:24 p.m., Nov. 20, Bernal Avenue

Deputies contacted a 31-year-old Moss Beach man who was reportedly on probation with search and seizure conditions. Authorities say that the man was found in possession of drug paraphernalia. He was cited and released on his promise to appear in court.

6 p.m., Nov. 19, Stage Road

A deputy approached a 20-year-old Pescadero man who was reportedly wanted on a misdemeanor warrant out of San Mateo County. The man was cited and released on his promise to appear in court. 

 

Princeton

Attempted theft

9:20 a.m., Nov. 21, Johnson Pier

Someone trespassed onto another’s boat and attempted to take a radio. The estimated property damage is $1,100.

11:15 p.m., Nov. 18, Columbia Avenue

A 61-year-old Mountain View man was cited for allegedly driving with a suspended license and possession of narcotic medication without a prescription. 

 

Unincorporated San Mateo County

5:16 p.m., Nov. 21, Skyline Boulevard

A deputy was dispatched to a report of three people who were possibly under the influence of narcotics. Deputies assisted a Mid-Peninsula Regional Open Space District ranger who reportedly told them that each of the people in question had taken half of a Xanax pill. One man, a 19-year-old San Carlos resident, was cited and released for allegedly possessing Xanax.

10:53 p.m., Nov. 18, Highway 1

A 24-year-old unincorporated San Mateo County resident was cited for allegedly driving with a suspended license and for displaying a 2019 registration tab with registration that expired in 2018.
