Rocky Balboa was having a rough go of things before she was found near the Crystal Springs Reservoir last fall. But things are looking up for the 4-foot-long boa constrictor who was just adopted by an experienced snake owner on Thursday.

The snake was found On Oct. 22. A bicyclist discovered her on the westbound shoulder of Highway 92 and put in a call to the Peninsula Humane Society for help.
