The Half Moon Bay Review is looking for a full-time staff writer capable of breaking news and telling the complete picture of life on the coast. It's a rare opportunity to be part of the team that is an acknowledged leader in the community newspaper industry.
We're looking for a community-minded reporter to write about unincorporated areas of the coast, local schools and county government. The successful candidate will have experience writing on deadline and be capable of writing about eight stories a week. He or she will be inquisitive and
understand that small stories are part of the mosaic that tells the unique story of Half Moon Bay and environs. To be a good fit you must enjoy meeting new people, writing on deadline and collaborating with
The Half Moon Bay Review is a 120-year-old weekly newspaper on the San Mateo County coast. It also produces a pair of glossy coastal lifestyle magazines and maintains a dynamic web and social media presence. We report from Montara to Pescadero on the beautiful coast of San Mateo County in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Recently, the newspaper was purchased by local owners who have formed a public benefit corporation and committed the resources
necessary to propel the operation to the next level. That evolution has
generated a lot of buzz in the journalism world.
