Lorraine Bovero passed away peacefully on Monday, Oct. 1, 2012, with her children at her side. She was a longtime resident of Half Moon Bay and worked as a nurse’s aide and volunteer at Seton Medical Center Coastside for many years.

Lorraine enjoyed listening to music, reading and swimming. She loved going for walks and especially loved the beach. She spent many days at Bean Hollow State Beach with her husband. It was their special place to go for picnics, and they always referred to it as “their beach.” She was a member of the Native Daughters, Coastside Travelers and Senior Coastsiders.

Lorraine was a devoted wife to her late husband, Umbert, loving mother to three sons, Jeff (Patrice), Brian (Sally), Greg (Melanie) and five daughters, Pam Sayles (Jim), Donna Kiecker (Laurel), Debra Picasso (Mike), Carla Jensen (Goodmund) and Claudia Moore (Ken). She has 16 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren whom she adored and who adored her. She is also survived by her brother, Robert Davidson.

She has left us all with such wonderful memories and will forever be in our hearts. We will miss you Mom, Grandma and Greaty.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honor to Senior Coastsiders.

A service to celebrate her life will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 11, at Our Lady of the Pillar Catholic Church, 400 Church St., Half Moon Bay.
