Lorraine Dooley, 67, a longtime Coastside resident, peacefully passed on Saturday, May 16, at home surrounded by her family and closest friends.
Elizabeth Ann Elder, most recently a resident of Half Moon Bay, passed away on May 11, 2015. A memorial service will be held at the Community United Methodist Church, 777 Miramontes St. in Half Moon Bay, at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 6.

Cynthia passed away suddenly in her home in Half Moon Bay, Calif. She was born in San Francisco, to Denis and Marilyn O’Leary. She grew up in Pacifica, Calif., and enjoyed living her adult life in Half Moon Bay.
Anna Marie Pecoraro died on Saturday, April 25, 2015, at Mountain View Care Home in Grass Valley.

Victor San Agustin, who came to California from Guam many years ago, passed away suddenly on May 11, 2015, of natural causes. He was 62 years old and had been dealing with multiple illnesses for some time.
Walter Joseph Pacheco passed away peacefully at his home on May 5, surrounded by family in a room filled with love.
David Sikes died at home on Thursday, May 7, 2015. He passed as he lived with grace. David was 73.
Jimmie was born in Hastings, Okla., on April 9, 1921, to James David Smith Sr. and Ufa Ola Person Smith.

David, beloved son of Zerne and Elizabeth Haning, died unexpectedly in San Francisco. In addition to his parents, David is survived by his brother John Haning (Caryn) and sister Sarah Garbarino (Gary), uncle and aunts Jim and Ruth Morgan, Emily Hewetson and Dorothy Simanek, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
James Richard Weersing, 76, died surrounded by family on Saturday, April 25, 2015, in San Francisco. Born on Feb. 13, 1939, in Los Angeles, Calif., Jim received both his bachelor’s (1960) and master’s in business administration (1962) from Stanford University.
Gloria passed away peacefully on April 7, 2015, at her home in Half Moon Bay with her family at her side.
Jerry died peacefully at home early in the morning on the first day of April. His wife, Marlene, was at his side. He had been struggling with chronic pulmonary disease for several years.
Robert Douglas Robertson passed away peacefully on March 12, 2015. Bob was born and raised in Vancouver, Canada. He became a Christian at age 14.
Nadine Elizabeth Dyches, 74, passed away suddenly on March 25, 2015, in Roseville, Calif.
Joan passed peacefully after an extended illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vera and Russ Daniels, of Paso Robles, Calif.
June Torre, a resident of Half Moon Bay for 60 years, passed away on March 14, 2015, at age 87. She was born in Fertile, Minn. She married David Torre, a contractor and a native of Half Moon Bay. They raised four children: Philip Torre, Gary Torre, Paula Micallef and Cherie Furnari, all from Half Moon Bay. June had nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She will be missed greatly.
Nancy Elizabeth Glass, a fifth-generation San Mateo County resident, passed away Feb. 24, in Palo Alto, Calif., at the age of 87. Nancy was born Nov. 9, 1927, the only child of Eric and Elizabeth Alsford. She attended Half Moon Bay High School and San Mateo Junior College.
Judith passed away in her Moss Beach home on Jan. 6, 2015, due to complications from health issues. She is preceded in death by parents Kaye and Leah Benjamin, daughter Julia Ann Doll and brother Dexter Kaye Benjamin. She was 75 years old.

Jacqueline (Jackie) Grace Wilson, 91, passed away peacefully at her home on Feb. 6, 2015. She was a resident of Montara for more than 60 years.
Our beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend passed peacefully with many loved ones beside him on Jan. 29, 2015. He resided in Milpitas, Calif., and retired from Valley Transportation Authority after 30 years of service. His greatest passion was fishing out of Pillar Point Harbor on his commercial fishing vessel, the “San Lazaro.”
Peggy passed away on Jan. 31, 2015, at home with her family by her side. She was born in Monterey to Lawrence and Ida Jepsen on April 14, 1932. She was one of 14 children.
Joan Harris passed away at home in the early evening. She is survived by her only son, Fred Harris, and daughter-in-law Lisa Marie Harris, and grandchildren Frederick Dain Hoyt, 26, Douglas Christopher Harris, 12, and Paisley Rose Harris, 5.

Alfredo Chavez Contreras, our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, of Half Moon Bay, Calif., and La Garita, Jalisco, Mexico, passed away on Jan. 18, 2015, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s.
Chuck Moyer died Jan. 7, 2015, at his home in Half Moon Bay. Chuck was 64 years old. He was born in Van Nuys, Calif., in 1950. He lived and played right next door to Alan Hale, who played the Skipper on “Gilligan’s Island.” The Moyers came to Half Moon Bay in 1956 where Chuck grew up and attended elementary and high school. Chuck was employed by PG&E for 43 years.
Bobby Joe Williams, age 80, passed away suddenly at his home in El Granada, Calif., on Jan. 4, 2015. Bob was born and educated in Pembroke, Va., graduating from Virginia Technical Institute in 1958. He relocated to San Francisco and was employed by Lynch Communications. In San Francisco, Bob met Rita Clarone Opdahl and they married on June 2, 1962. He started his own company, Pole Zero Inc., from their home and manufactured filters for the telecommunications industry until he retired. Bob’s passion was fly-fishing with his buddies for steelhead on the Gualala River in Northern California.
Brooke Smith Bunge, 48, passed away on Dec. 29, 2014, following an illness that took her far too soon. She is survived by her husband, Tash, and daughter, Sophie. Brooke touched many lives with her creative spirit, and amused many with her zest for artistic irony.
John passed into his heavenly home on Jan. 8, 2015. He was born in San Luis Obispo on June 15, 1937. He was a California native, raised by his parents in coastal lighthouses.
Imogene L. Raleigh, beloved wife of Roger, passed away peacefully on Friday, Jan. 2. She was 90 years old. Imogene’s unfaltering dedication to family, together with her strong work ethic, created a home of love, laughter and many wonderful memories.
Ray passed away at his home in Colma at the age of 93. He was a lifelong resident of Colma.

Evelyn Agnes Senteio passed away at the age of 98 due to natural causes on Dec. 4, 2014, at Three Bells of Montara residential care home, where she resided and was lovingly cared for by so many over the last three years. Pathways Hospice tended to her needs in her final days.
John “Jack” Castor, 77, of Half Moon Bay, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2014. He was preceded in death by parents E. Robert and Josephine Castor, and brothers Robert and Thomas Castor.
Alice was born at home in Butte, Montana at sunrise on December 2, 1923. She died at home with her children surrounding her on December 3, 2014. She had just begun her 92nd year of life.

Farewell to longtime Bay Area resident, activist and medical worker, Karen McClearey. The 11-year resident of Half Moon Bay passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2014, at the age of 71, after years of battling severe, untreatable spinal pain. She was born in Brown, Texas, and grew up in Denver, Colo. She graduated from high school and university with honors.
