6:03 p.m., May 30, Highway 1

Someone broke a car window to steal a laptop, MP3 player, battery charger and a hands-free device. The stolen items were worth more than $1,100.

Half Moon Bay


1:31 p.m., June 3, Magnolia Street

A 56-year-old man was passed out on a walking trail. He was arrested for his own safety.

9:38 p.m., June 3, Main Street

A 45-year-old woman seemed to be intoxicated on Main Street. San Mateo County Sheriff’s deputies arrested her, deciding she was too drunk to care for herself.


1:37 p.m., June 1, Amesport Landing

Sheriff’s deputies smelled marijuana coming from a vehicle they had pulled over. Searching the car, they found a plastic bag containing what they believed was methamphetamine and several glass pipes. The passenger admitted the items were his. He was taken to jail.

4:55 p.m., June 1, Miramontes Point Road

During a routine traffic stop, Sheriff’s deputies found an unlicensed driver was in possession of marijuana and hashish. The 18-year-old man was cited and released. Inside the car, they also spotted a teenage boy who was on probation and in possession of an alcoholic drink. He was arrested and taken to juvenile hall.

Restraining order

11:32 a.m., June 3, Kelly


A 61-year-old transient was spotted walking nearby a house in violation of a restraining order. The man was arrested and taken to jail.

Hit and run

9:23 a.m., June 4, Oak Avenue

A driver fled the scene after being involved in an accident. Deputies were able to deduce the identity of the driver and they issued a warrant for his arrest.


3:50 p.m., June 4, Kelly


Someone used a stolen credit card to try and buy a computer. The fraud was discovered when the owner of the credit card was called to approve the purchase.



12:15 a.m., June 4, 14th Street

A Sheriff’s deputy pulled over a vehicle for driving with its high beams on. Approaching the car, the deputy noticed a strong smell of alcohol coming from the driver. The driver, a 39-year-old Montara resident, failed her sobriety tests and was arrested.

Moss Beach


12:01 a.m., June 4, Virginia Avenue

A 20-year-old driver was pulled over for driving erratically. Deputies found a small amount of marijuana in his possession. He was cited and let go.
