San Mateo County Sheriff’s officials arrested a 54-year-old woman who was too drunk to care for herself.

A 19-year-old man was arrested for being too drunk to care for himself.

4:18 a.m., June 17, Cypress Avenue

A drunken man was banging on the door of a home. The man was arrested for his own safety.

10:55 p.m., June 17, Highway 1

A drunken woman was found lying on the ground at the loading dock of a store. She was arrested.

10:05 a.m., June 14, Main Street

By the time Sheriff’s deputies arrived at the scene of a fight outside a local bar, one of the men involved in the fight was gone and the other had bruises and a cut on his face. The injured man was taken to the hospital. The other brawler was later found, and he claimed that he was only defending himself. The case has been forwarded to the district attorney’s office for review.

10:19 a.m., June 12, St. Andrews Lane

A 13-year-old girl was receiving inappropriate text messages from an unknown person. There was no indication the text-sender actually knew the girl.

12:01 a.m., June 15, Church Street

Four juveniles were smoking marijuana on top of the roof of Cunha Intermediate School. An older 17-year-old boy was found to be the owner of the marijuana, and he claimed he was the only one smoking it. He was arrested on drug charges. All four were released to a parent.

2:55 p.m., June 15, Highway 1

A 29-year-old man who appeared drunk was getting into his vehicle when he was stopped by deputies, who administered sobriety tests. He failed them and was arrested.

False ID

1:56 p.m., June 17, Purissima Street

Deputies stopped a 23-year-old man when responding to a report of a burglary in progress. The man gave a false name to a deputy. Sheriff’s officials eventually discovered his real name and also an active misdemeanor warrant. He was cited and released.

A teenager at the Camp Glenwood youth camp tested positive for cocaine use. Sheriff’s officials brought a drug-sniffing dog to sift through the suspect’s belongings. No drugs were found.

8:42 p.m., June 17, La Honda Road

Deputies spotted a car on the side of the road with extensive front-end damage and deployed air bags. The car’s bumper was on the road blocking traffic. The driver was turned over to the CHP for arrest.

Someone smashed a car window to steal a fanny pack that contained credit cards, cash, a cell phone and a checkbook.

4:57 p.m., June 15, Highway 1

Someone broke open a side window to take a purse from the floor of a vehicle.

2:07 p.m., June 16, Highway 1

A drunken driver was swerving all over the road while driving north on Highway 1. The car nearly collided with a Sheriff’s patrol car trying to intercept it. The driver continued heading north, nearly striking the guardrails twice before abruptly stopping behind another vehicle at a red light in Pacifica. The 62-year-old woman driving the car was arrested.

A car window was smashed open, but the owner couldn’t find anything that had been stolen from inside.

3:20 a.m., June 14, Nevada Street

Neighbors called to complain about loud noise coming from a late-night party. When Sheriff’s deputies arrived, they found several teenagers who had been drinking alcohol. Five of the teens were released to parents. A sixth teenager was uncooperative and was arrested for public intoxication.

8:30 p.m., June 17, California Avenue

A woman refused to allow deputies to search her home to conduct a probation search on a male companion. She was warned she could be placed under arrest if she delayed law enforcement.

8:45 a.m., June 15, Johnson Pier

Someone turned over a bag of methamphetamine to Sheriff’s deputies. The drugs were taken for destruction.

10:48 p.m., June 17, California Avenue

Sheriff’s deputies found a man under the influence of drugs. He was arrested and taken to jail.

2:39 a.m., June 15, Capistrano Road

Deputies were watching a 21-year-old driver back his car out of a parking space. As the patrol car pulled up, the driver quickly turned off his engine and covered his head with his shirt. The driver was intoxicated and had apparently vomited outside his vehicle. He was arrested.

A drunken 22-year-old was hitting himself and taking swings at bystanders. He was arrested for being a danger to himself and others.
