6:29 a.m., March 5, Third Avenue

Sometime overnight, a person broke inside a vehicle, stealing several things worth a total of about $1,000.

5:33 a.m., March 9, Grove Street

A father reported his son snuck into his home to steal money.

11:05 a.m. March 9, Highway 1

A business at Strawflower Village was burglarized after someone used a tool of some sort, possibly a credit card, to unlock the back door. The intruder stole a cash register, but the shop owner removed most of the money before closing.

9:20 p.m., March 9, Main Street

Sheriff’s deputies believe the same person who broke into a Strawflower Village shop may have also burglarized a store on Main Street. The intruder broke inside, opened the cash register and stole several keys.

Deputies responded to reports of a large group of people fighting. When they arrived, they found no one willing to make a statement or say what happened.

A 33-year-old Half Moon Bay woman was driving on a suspended license and was caught with an unspecified drug. She was cited and released.

6:30 p.m., March 5, Capistrano Road

A woman’s purse was stolen while she was at a restaurant.
