Seek redemption for outstanding library fines.

Instead of coins, bring cans and other nonperishable food to any of the Redwood City Library’s branches or San Mateo County Library’s 12 branches, including Half Moon Bay Library, throughout the month of December.

Donations will go to the Second Harvest Food Bank, which annually distributes more than 45.5 million pounds of food to people in need in San Mateo and Santa Clara counties.

Even if you don’t have any fines, San Mateo County Supervisor Carol Groom encourages you to participate to keep bellies full for the Coastside’s children and seniors.

Welcome to the discussion.
