If you’re ready to get your feet wet in the world of local politics, you might reach out to the Midcoast Community Council.

There’s an open seat, with a term ending in the winter.

Join representatives from Montara, Moss Beach, El Granada, Princeton and Miramar. Discuss issues of concern and bring them to the attention of the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors and other government agencies. Hot topics include coastal access, trails, watersheds and more.

Meetings are twice a month at 7 p.m. on the second and fourth Wednesdays.

It’s an interim position, appointed by the Board of Supervisors. For more information, call Nicholas Calderon at (650) 323-4569.
