Here come the runners
Half Moon Bay's Chandra Anderson, left, and Menlo-Atherton's Taylor Fortnam battle for second place at Tuesday's first Peninsula Athletic League Cross-Country meet, hosted by Half Moon Bay. Fortnam finished second, helping the Bears win the team title with 54 points. Anderson took third, helping the Cougars take second with 83, 13 points better than Carlmont. Westmoor's Kylie Goo won the race by more than one minute. Half Moon Bay took second in the varsity boys  and frosh-soph boys races, too. Half Moon Bay next competes Saturday at the Lowell Invitational.   Mark Foyer / Review
