The 2012 Presidential election is weeks away and “Brews and Views” is getting into the election swing.

The monthly discussion form and speakers’ series hosted by the Half Moon Bay Brewing Company that presents expert speakers and is open for exchanges of ideas and opinions, presents “The Presidential Election: Who Will Win,” from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 4, at the Brewing Company at 390 Capistrano Road, Princeton.

This month’s guest is Alex Evans, who as president and founding partner of EMC Research has for the past 27 years conducted many public opinion studies. He has polled throughout the western United States and conducted survey research at every level of politics and government and for large and small corporations, government institutions and universities. He has directed accounts for some of the nation’s largest corporations. Considered one of the finest analysts of public opinion in the nation, he is often asked to speak at top universities.

The event will be moderated by Lenny Mendonca, who is founder and owner of the Brewing Company. He is also a director and senior partner in the Washington D.C. and San Francisco offices of global management consulting firm McKinsey & Company.

Admission to Brews & Views, and snacks, are complimentary. Beer, wine and other beverages are available for sale at the event, and 10 percent of proceeds from all dinner sales at the Brewing Company for the event will go to the Cabrillo Education Foundation.

Brews & Views was started in 2009 by Mendonca as a free public forum and fundraiser for Coastside nonprofit organizations. Previous notable speakers have included San Francisco Chronicle political reporter Carla Marinucci, California State Assemblyman Jerry Hill and Mike McCurry, former press secretary for President Bill Clinton.
