Richard David Moran passed away Dec. 20, 2009, at the San Francisco Veterans Affairs Medical Center after a long battle with cancer. Richard was a beloved father to Melody, Ricky, Debbie, Renee and Randy. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

He will be remembered for his wit, his spirit of adventure and his joy in living life to the fullest. He was a faithful friend to those he loved, and was, in turn, loved by many.

An informal memorial for friends and family will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. on Jan. 23 at the Fitzgerald Marine Reserve Beach in Moss Beach.
