Frosh-soph team fourth at SSF tourney

The Half Moon Bay High School boys’ frosh-soph basketball team finished fourth in the South San Francisco Tournament last week.

The Cougars fell to Hillsdale, 44-35, in overtime in the third-place game. Jesus Huerta led the Cougars with eight points. Ryan Wilson added seven points, seven rebounds and three blocked shots.

The Cougars lost in the semifinal game to Carlmont, 45-34. Wilson scored 10 points and added nine rebounds. Kion Marouzadeh added nine points.

The Cougars began the tournament with a 35-29 win over Jefferson. Cesar Aguilar, who was named to the all-tournament team, scored 10 points, along with Huerta.
