| It's Patridge, Alifano, Kowalczyk for council By Clay Lambert [ clay@hmbreview.com ] Published/Last Modified on Tuesday, November 3, 2009 11:12 PM PST With all precincts reporting, it appears Naomi Patridge, Allan Alifano and Rick Kowalczyk have all won seats on the Half Moon Bay City Council. The trio supported one another and the vote can be seen as a vote of confidence for the current council majority. The results are unofficial. Patridge led the way with 1,151 votes, Alifano had 974 and Kowalczyk had 854. The next closest vote-getter was Deborah Ruddock, with 784. Results from precincts outside the city were also in and provided winners on a trio of Coastside races. Political veterans Chris Mickelsen and Jerry Donovan appear to have won seats on the Coastside County Water District board. Gary Riddell, Gary Burke and Ginny McShane each won seats on the Coastside Fire Protection District board. And Incumbents Ric Lohman, Gael Erickson and Leonard Woren appear to have won seats in the Granada Sanitary District race – with a caveat. Woren held a one-vote margin over political newcomer Lisa McCaffrey in the unofficial vote count. |
