Anna King Flippin

Anna King Flippin was born July 18, 1949 to Alla Illyaovna Koptunovich King and Joshua King on board the S.S. President Cleveland as it docked in Yokohama, Japan.  She entered eternity on October 21, 2009 from Sacramento. Anna, her brothers and mother lived in Japan until they came to San Francisco, Calif., in 1955.  When she was 7 years old, Anna went to St. Mary’s of the Palms boarding school, Mission San Jose, Calif.  Later, she went to the Convent of the Sacred Heart boarding school, Vancouver, B.C., Canada.  She graduated in 1967 from Star of the Sea Academy in San Francisco. 

Anna loved to travel, take cruises, and lived in Europe for two years.

She had two daughters, Patricia Anne and Christina Larissa, and four precious grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her mother, father and husband Thomas.

She accepted Jesus Christ into her heart before she was 10 years old.  On November 29, 1999 in the ocean of Half Moon Bay, she was Baptized and born again.  She loved Mariners Community Church and all the wonderful people there.  Her favorite thing to do was snuggle and read bedtime stories with her grandchildren.  She loved being an American, loved this country and was extremely patriotic, loved classical music, the opera, the ocean, sunsets, swimming, cooking, eating, pranks and loved to laugh.

A celebration of Anna’s life will be held at Mariners Community Church on November 8, 2009 at 6 p.m. As per Anna’s wish, please wear colorful clothes.
