An 11-year-old girl was jogging along the Coastal Trail and was accosted by three men who asked her if she wanted a ride home. The girl's mother wanted to report the incident.

A 15-year-old Half Moon Bay High School student was caught with marijuana and a pipe after officers received reports of students smoking pot near the school grounds. The crime is being forwarded to the district attorney’s office.

A woman’s ex-boyfriend was spotted repeatedly driving by her, in defiance of a court-issued restraining order.

A 59-year-old man from San Francisco was caught stealing two cases of Red Bull energy drinks from the loading dock of the Safeway supermarket.

Unwanted guests were refusing to leave a house until police arrived to force them to do so.

A woman’s dog was attacked by an unleashed canine during a walk downtown.

A 43-year-old man and an unidentified woman from Colorado were awakened by an officer who found them sleeping in a vehicle. The man, identified as Brian Edwards, was found to be wanted on a felony, no-bail warrant and was arrested.

8:08 p.m., Oct. 17, West Point Avenue
A woman was caught sleeping in her car in the parking lot at Mavericks Beach. The woman was clearly drunk and she admitted to partying with a group of friends on the beach and drinking heavily. She told sheriff’s deputies that she decided to sleep in her car. The woman was being argumentative and had a history of drinking problems. Deputies tried to get her to call someone to pick her up, but she couldn’t think of anyone. Deputies decided to arrest her.

7:51 p.m., Oct. 16, La Granada Street
Deputies pulled over a driver for talking on his cell phone while driving, and they noticed the car reeked of marijuana smoke. Deputies didn’t find any marijuana in the car, but they did find an unsheathed knife and a bottle of pain medication that wasn’t prescribed to the suspect. The driver said the pills were to soothe his aches and pains. He told deputies the medication bottle didn’t have his name on the label because the original bottle broke. Deputies didn’t buy that story, and they arrested the man.

12:43 p.m., Oct. 14, Johnson Pier
A man leaving the Old Princeton Landing bar with friends was caught drunken driving.
Theft
4:30 p.m., Oct. 15, Airport Street
A saw and wheelbarrow were stolen after they were left unsecured at a worksite. Both items together were valued at $850.
