Fred Harris

Fred Harris of Hendersonville, TN. Born February 2, 1937 in San Bruno, CA. Passed away peacefully at home after a long battle with cancer on October 14, 2009. Preceded in death by his father, Clarence Harris and mother, Lois Edson Harris and brother Phil Harris. Survived by wife Gladys Miller Harris; son Fred Harris (Lisa); grandchildren Douglas Christopher and Paisley Rose; Daughter Meloney Hoyt; grandson Fredrick Dain Hoyt. He is also survived by Jackie Harris, Sister-in-Law. Mr. Harris served in the U.S. Army and retired from Pacific Telesis in Half Moon Bay, CA. He served as Commander of American Legion Coastside Post 474 in Half Moon Bay, CA. and was a current member of the VFW Post 9851, Hendersonville, TN. Mr. Harris will be cremated and his cremains will be buried at a later date. There will be no services and any donations in remembrance can be made to the American Cancer Society.
