Hundreds without power on coast

Pacific Gas and Electric Company says 654 Coastside customers were without power at 11 a.m. Tuesday morning as a result of high winds knocking out power lines.

Spokesman Joe Molica said all the outages appeared to be tied to a main circuit linking customers in east Montara, east Moss Beach, El Granada, east Half Moon Bay, La Honda, Loma Mar and Pescadero. Company “trouble men” are out on patrol assessing the damages.

“The winds are supposed to peak at noon, so we might experience some additional damages,” Molica said.
