Alcohol

10:22 p.m., Aug. 19, Poplar Beach

Several teenage girls were spotted standing around their car at Poplar Beach. As police approached, one of the girls reportedly tossed a bottle of vodka into the brush. The 16-year-old girl was cited and released.

Child endangerment

8:15 a.m., Aug. 24, Kelly Avenue

A 32-year-old father was cited for driving without a child-safety seat for his 4-year-old child. In addition to lacking a child seat, the man was also driving without a license and insurance.

Harassment

Aug. 21, Main Street

A business reported receiving annoying e-mails from a former employee, who agreed to stop when police intervened.

Suspicious incident

12:01 a.m., Aug. 22, Willow Street

A suspicious person was seen shining flashlights into a home.

Theft

9 p.m., Aug. 16, Kelly Avenue

A man reported his credit card had being used by someone else, twice in Half Moon Bay, and twice in Redwood City. The victim had recently lost his wallet while in the Redondo Beach neighborhood.

8 p.m., Aug. 18, Alsace Lorraine

An unsecured bike was stolen after a visitor left the bike briefly in the front yard of a friend’s house.

Unlicensed driver

10:57 p.m, Aug. 19, Spindrift Way

A driver was stopped for using high-beam headlights, and police discovered the 26-year-old man had no license.

Warrant

9:49 p.m., Aug. 22, Highway 1

A 33-year-old woman from Half Moon Bay was stopped on the highway for driving at night without headlights. Police discovered the woman had two outstanding warrants, and so they arrested her.
