11:24 a.m., Aug. 4, Garcia Avenue
An elderly man suffered from an unspecified medical condition while driving his car, causing him to crash into a parked vehicle. The man was taken to the hospital, but he reportedly suffered no injuries from the accident.
Alcohol
9:50 p.m., Aug. 6, Poplar Street
Two teenage girls were caught with alcoholic beverages on the Coastal Trail. The older 18-year-old girl was cited and released on her promise to appear in court.
1:20 a.m., Aug. 8, Frenchmans Creek
A 45-year-old bicyclist was seen falling off his bike as he was riding down the road. Police determined the man was too drunk and arrested him for his own safety.
Battery
3:50 p.m., Aug. 6, Main Street
A woman jumped out of her car on Main Street and began punching another female driver through her open car window. A witness confronted the attacker, who then fled the area. Police could not locate the assailant, who is described as approximately 5’ 7”, 165 lbs, about 50 years old with gray hair and wearing a dark tank top.
Burglary
5:46 p.m., Aug. 7, Mirada Road
A father reported his son had purchased a stolen bike. The man said his son paid a stranger $25 for the bike, which had scratched-off serial numbers. Police were able to make out some of the bike’s serial numbers and figure out who was the victim. The victim told police that the stranger must have been stolen the bike recently from his garage.

7:34 p.m., Aug. 4, Pelican Circle
A woman reported receiving threatening calls from her ex-boyfriend’s wife.
Drugs
7:30 a.m., Aug. 4, Church Street
Drug paraphernalia and graffiti were found at Cunha Intermediate School.
12:04 a.m., Aug. 4, Pilarcitos Cemetery
A 31-year-old man was caught sleeping in Pilarcitos Cemetery. The awakened man had a small amount of marijuana, and he received a citation. He was also warned to stay out of graveyards.
Hit and run
11:30 a.m., Aug. 5, Correas Avenue
A car leaving Half Moon Bay Library backed into a parked vehicle and left without leaving contact information.
6:20 p.m., Aug. 5
A Half Moon Bay woman driving in Atherton hit a bicyclist, causing him to fall to the ground. The woman said that after the collision she waved to the cyclist to indicate she was looking for a safe place to park, and he waved back. The woman says the bicyclist was gone by the time she had parked. The bicyclist later filed a police report saying the woman drove off without stopping.
Indecent exposure
3:05 p.m., Aug. 7, Roosevelt Beach
An unidentified man reportedly exposed himself to a woman at Roosevelt Beach. The man was described as a man in his 40s, about six feet tall, and wearing a dark blue or black baseball cap.
Theft
6 a.m., Aug. 4, Main Street
Two vegetable-oil fuel pumps were stolen from Half Moon Bay Auto Repair after someone cut through the chains securing the pumps. The loss was estimated at $2,500.
Vandalism
July 29, Pilarcitos Creek Road
Someone punched holes in a vehicle gas tank.
2:08 p.m., Aug. 5, Miramontes Avenue
Someone spray-painted graffiti on parking signs and sidewalks at Hatch Elementary School.
Vicious dog
9:30 p.m., Aug. 6, Silver Avenue
Three greyhound dogs attacked and killed a neighbor’s cat. A witness heard the dogs growling and saw the three dogs attacking the cat. The witness freed the cat out of one of the dog’s jaws, but the feline later died from its injuries while en route to the veterinarian.

Theft
7 p.m., July 30, Barranca Street
A couple returning from a trip was unloading bags at the base of the stairs leading up to their home. One of their bags was missing and possibly stolen.
San Gregorio
Assault
8 p.m., Aug. 3, San Gregorio State Beach
A young woman was attacked by a group of girls, who jumped on her and punched her several times in the face. The victim was hanging out at the beach, drinking alcohol with her attackers before they assaulted her for unspecified reasons. The victim lost consciousness during the attack, and later woke up and wandered out to the beach parking lot. The girl was picked up by a friendly stranger and taken to a nearby firehouse, and later to Stanford Medical Center. She gave Sheriff’s deputies the names and descriptions of two of her attackers.
