A resident of Half Moon Bay for 24 years. Karen was born in San Francisco November 6, 1953 passed away on July 29, 2009. Beloved wife of David Donovan; loving mother of Jennifer (Michael) Jennings and Katie (Eddie) Mendes; loving “Mema” of Travis, Hailey, Gracie, Emma and Sydney; dearest daughter of Robert and Dolores Johnson; loving sister of Judy Martindale (Bob), Rick Johnson (Chris) and the late Linda Johnson; also survived by loving nieces and nephews. Karen was very dedicated to her church ministry, Mariner’s Community Church. She worked at the HMB Safeway for over 10 years.
A Celebration of her Life was held at Duggan’s Serra Mortuary on Tuesday, August 4th with an interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, Colma.
A Memorial Celebration of her Life will be held on Friday, August 14th at 7:00pm at Mariner’s Community Church, 225 S Cabrillo Hwy 101C, Half Moon Bay, CA 94019 Reception following in Children’s Center, for more information, please contact the church at (650) 726-5959.
