A resident continuously called 911 to report crimes that happened in areas outside of San Mateo County. Deputies say they were sent out at least 13 times over the week because they man wanted to talk about his legal dilemmas. The crimes he reported had no merit, according to the Sheriff’s Office. He also reeked of alcohol.

Neighbors complained about a dilapidated pickup truck and trailer that were blocking the sidewalk, violating numerous legal codes. Within three days the vehicles were removed.

A woman was reportedly attacked by her boyfriend’s ex-girlfriend during the annual fireworks display at Pillar Point Harbor. The victim was standing nearby her boyfriend’s car, when the ex-girlfriend and another female approached her and attacked. The victim sustained minor injuries, but declined to prosecute the attackers.

A 19-year-old Half Moon Bay resident was observed stumbling on the street. Officers determined he was under the influence of a controlled substance.

12:30 a.m., July 4, Willow Avenue
A fight broke out between several known gang members at a home. Police officers arrested two brawlers at the scene for violating their parole terms and obstructing the investigation.

9:38 a.m., July 1, Main Street
A senior citizen was targeted in a mail scam when she got a letter saying she had won $1 million in an unfamiliar sweepstakes. The letter had a $5,850 “check” and instructions, saying she had to pay some fees to collect the rest of her winnings. The woman didn’t lose any money, but wanted the incident documented by police.

A missing 16-year-old boy from San Jose was found at Poplar Beach during a routine traffic stop. The young man was caught with a small amount of marijuana. He was taken to Your House South for the night before being returned to his parents.

A married couple received numerous calls telling them they were being investigated for crimes. The unknown woman making all the calls to the couple claimed to be working with the San Francisco Police. Officials at the SFPD said no such investigation was actually happening and the calls were determined to be a hoax.

A man reportedly was robbed by another man, who approached him and put his neck in a headlock. The robber stole the man’s keys from his jacket pocket, which prevented the victim from driving home that night.

A father said someone stole his children’s medical records from his car.
7:48 p.m., July 2, Miramontes Avenue
A homeowner reported a teenager, believed to be about 14-years-old, stole a bright orange and black BMX bicycle from the front yard. The bike was valued at $360.

A teal mountain bike was reportedly stolen from Mac Dutra Park. The Diamondback bicycle was valued at $200.

Somebody took the outdoor furniture at a Stone Pile Plaza restaurant and put it in the middle of the street. A passing vehicle hit the restaurant’s table, damaging it.

Three young juveniles were reported missing for hours in the early morning at Pillar Ridge Manufactured Home Community. Several Sheriff’s units were dispatched to search for the children. The missing children were found soon afterward and said they were playing video games at a friend’s home and lost track of time.

Someone stole car keys for two county trucks. The government vehicles were parked at a maintenance yard when the theft happened.

A vehicle was found engulfed in flames on the side of the road, but there was no sign of a driver or any accident. Officials believe the fire may have been intentionally started.
Dog attack
7:20 p.m., June 24, Bear Gulch Road
Two neighbors reportedly got into a fight over a socket wrench. The victim who reported the attack said his neighbor hit him twice in the shoulder and then he was bitten on his leg by his neighbor’s dog. The man declined medical attention.
