Police spotted a group of what they say were teenage gang members drinking beer while walking along Poplar Avenue late on Saturday night. As police approached the young men, two of them dropped their drinks. One 18-year-old suspect reportedly dropped a switchblade and blue bandana. Police arrested the 18-year-old and a younger juvenile for disorderly conduct and other charges.

A drunken 21-year-old woman was arrested for assaulting another woman, causing minor injuries. Police discovered the attacker had a $7,500 warrant out for her arrest. She was taken to San Mateo County jail.

A Half Moon Bay High School student reportedly punched another student over an apparent gang affiliation.

5:30 p.m., June 7, Main Street
A 26-year-old and his teenage girlfriend, both from Pleasanton, were arrested for allegedly assaulting his ex-girlfriend at her Half Moon Bay home. The two alleged assailants arrived at the victim's home and got into an argument, which led to the couple reportedly attacking the ex-girlfriend's mother. The two suspects were arrested for the assault, along with a 22-year-old accomplice charged with violating his parole.

Responding to a report of children yelling in the middle of the night, police found several unsupervised juveniles out in a yard. One of them was asleep outside. Police say they are forwarding the case to the District Attorney to determine whether the parents could be charged with contributing to child delinquency.

Four known gang members were found in a parked vehicle. The juvenile driver reportedly took the car without his parent’s permission.
9:51 p.m., June 5, Highway 1
Two women were arrested for reportedly running a stop sign in a car and then failing to stop for an emergency vehicle. The driver was found to be driving with a suspended license. Her passenger was arrested for being drunk, which violated her parole guidelines.

A 39-year-old El Granada resident was arrested after refusing to leave a restaurant when he was drunk.

Five students were arrested near the Half Moon Bay High School campus on suspicion of drinking alcohol and smoking marijuana.
DUI

A 31-year-old driver was arrested after officers observed him weaving on the highway and nearly hitting a guardrail. The driver was both drunk and unlicensed.

A 15-year-old girl had reportedly run away, announcing her intentions in a text message to her parent. The girl was located by police and returned home.

A barbecue and a potted tree were stolen from an open patio.

A 29-year-old man from Moss Beach was arrested for stealing several items from Rite Aid. The man was spotted by employees and ran out of the store carrying the stolen items. Employees caught the man about one block away, placing him under citizen's arrest.

Two 17-year-olds from the Midcoast were arrested for trying to steal alcohol from Safeway.
12 p.m., June 6, Pacific Avenue
A 19-year-old woman was arrested for stealing a vehicle. Police found the woman driving the stolen car with an open container of alcohol about 12 hours after the crime was reported.
