Reported bully breaks student’s arm

An 8-year-old student at Farallone View Elementary School suffered a broken arm after a playground confrontation with another student. The victim’s father says this wasn’t the first time the other student had bullied his son. The father didn’t want to press charges against the suspected bully, but he wanted this latest incident documented as he prepared to sue, according to a report from the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office.

5:41 p.m., May 25, Malaga Street

A teen hosted a party while her parents were out of town. She later noticed that her brother’s truck was missing from the driveway and the spare key was missing from her parents’ room.

Accident

12:14 p.m., June 1, Highway 1

Three cars were involved in an accident that resulted in a minor injury. Two of the drivers involved in the accident were found to be unlicensed.

Alcohol

2:31 p.m., May 26, Lewis Foster Drive

Two high school students, aged 14 and 15, were caught drunk during class hours. The students were released to their parents.

Assault

May 29, Lewis Foster Drive

A 16-year-old high school student admitted to spitting on another student.

Battery

9:31 p.m., May 26, Highway 1

Four men were fighting near the highway. Two of the men ran away before police arrived. One of the remaining men was bleeding from his mouth, but he did not want to seek prosecution against the other fighters.

Disturbance

4:29 p.m., May 26, Church Street

A 29-year-old man was reportedly drunk at Our Lady of the Pillar Catholic Church and was yelling and throwing objects around the property. The man was arrested and taken to the hospital.

12:21 a.m., June 1, Highway 92

Two drunken men were found breaking bottles and yelling.

Fight

7:19 p.m., May 26, Arnold Way

Police were called out to Sea Crest School to respond to a fight between parents. A woman reportedly ran a stop sign, causing others nearby to yell at her. The woman claimed other people nearby were trying to start a fight with her.

Missing person

9 a.m., May 22, Highway 92

A man reported to police that he was very concerned about a woman he had been seeing, whom he believed was missing. However, a missing-person report couldn’t be filed because the man wasn’t sure of the woman’s birthday or the spelling of her name.

Suspicious incident

7:30 a.m., May 29, Arnold Way

A woman woke up in the morning to find her garage door open part way.

Stolen property

3:13 p.m., May 27, Lewis Foster Drive

A 15-year-old high school student possessed a stolen iPod. He was arrested and released to a parent.

Theft

1 p.m., May 26, Miramontes Avenue

A $100 “Rhino” bicycle was stolen from the Cabrillo Unified School District central office.

6:10 a.m., May 28, Antoinette Lane

A Toyota Camry was stolen from the front of a home and later recovered at a Chevron gas station.

8 a.m., May 29, Third Avenue

A car was reportedly stolen, but the owner did not know the license plate number.

Unlicensed driver

6:16 p.m., May 30, Highway 92

A 19-year-old driver was stopped on the suspicion that his vehicle was stolen. Police found the car wasn’t stolen, but they did discover that the driver was unlicensed.

8 p.m., May 26, Kelly Beach

An unknown person gouged a car tire.

La Honda

10:52 a.m., May 22, Sears Ranch Road

Somebody entered a storage shed through a window at La Honda Elementary School and “ransacked” the property inside. Nothing was reportedly stolen from the school.

Moss Beach

Burglary

3:07 p.m., May 25, Vallemar Street

Someone entered a home through an unlocked window and stole two laptop computers, a digital camera and a flat-screen TV. The total loss was worth $4,000.

Pescadero

Alcohol

1:36 a.m., May 22, Pescadero Creek Road

Sheriff’s deputies approached a car at Pescadero State Beach and found the man inside smelled of alcohol. There were also multiple empty beer cans on the floor of the car. The officers determined the 37-year-old driver was too drunk to take care of himself and so they arrested him.

A new chapter for Woo school
