| Legend of Motorcycle cancels for 2009 From staff reports Published/Last Modified on Monday, March 16, 2009 9:56 AM PDT Organizers behind the Legend of the Motorcycle have canceled the annual affair at the Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay, for 2009. They say it will return in 2010. The event was a display of classic motorcycles and mimicked the popular Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, which brings in the well-heeled and their cars each year. The motorcycle event began in 2005 and has brought hundreds of motorcycle fans to the coast each spring since then. Organizers told the San Francisco Chronicle they had trouble securing sponsors due to a worldwide economic recession. |
