Leo Giorgetti, of Half Moon Bay, died Sunday at the age of 88. Giorgetti, with his partner, Sam Marconi, owned the Iron Horse Restaurant on Maiden Lane in San Francisco for 2 decades. Giorgetti was born in the family farmhouse in Half Moon Bay. He graduated from Half Moon Bay High School, joined the Coast Guard in 1941 and was a decorated veteran of World War 2.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Pearsol Giorgetti, his sons Richard of San Jose and wife, Terry and Robert of Half Moon Bay, grandchildren Tracey, Jason, Alison, Sarah and Dante, three great grandchildren and stepchildren, Howie and Paula Pearsol.
Services will be held February 23, 2009 at Our Lady of the Pillar Church in Half Moon Bay, viewing at 5 pm and service at 7 pm.
