Police arrest man on no-bail warrant

A drunken man was causing trouble inside of a business off Highway 1. After police found the man, they decided to check his crime record, discovering that he had a felony warrant with no bail on his head. The man, 45-year-old Albino Reyna of Half Moon Bay, was arrested and taken to the county jail.

1:45 a.m., Feb. 8, Willow Avenue

A man told police he was sitting in his car when another person walked up and spit on him. The other person denied spitting.

Burglary

3 p.m., Feb. 7, Highway 1

Someone smashed the rear window of a parked car, stealing a camera and wallet from inside.

Counterfeit money

11:08 a.m., Feb. 9, Highway 92

A bank informed Coastside businesses about an increase in the number of counterfeit $20 bills.

Dangerous driving

6:55 p.m., Feb. 7, Kelly Avenue

A 19-year-old driver was stopped for driving too fast down the highway and passing cars in illegal areas. The young man had no insurance or driver’s license.

10:27 p.m., Feb. 4, Garcia Avenue

An adult who was causing unspecified problems fled the area after his family called the police on him.

Neighbors were complaining about a dog barking loudly.

12:20 p.m., Feb. 9, Highway 1

A customer was given a warning not to frequent a business anymore after the storeowner complained the man was intimidating her employees.

DUI

12:15 a.m., Feb. 7, Highway 1

A 32-year-old man was pulled over for driving erratically on the highway. The man failed his sobriety tests and was found to be driving with a suspended license. The driver also had a misdemeanor warrant out for his arrest.

Fight

12:11 a.m., Feb. 3, Filbert Street

Two brothers were involved in a fight that led to police separating and then arresting both young men. The two young men, both from Mountain View, were both found to be drunk and arrested.

Hit-and-run

8:05 a.m., Feb. 5, Highway 1

A driver who was hit by another car refused to stay at the accident scene and wait for police to arrive.

Missing person

11:05 p.m., Feb. 8, Bayhill Place

A parent called police for help locating her daughter.

Probation violation

3:12 p.m., Feb. 2, Pilarcitos Avenue

Police stopped three juveniles they knew were on probation. The young men’s probation restricts them from associating with one another.

Theft

6:05 p.m., Feb. 3, Seascape Drive

A resident was unable to locate her frying pan and called police thinking that someone had stolen her kitchenware.

Trespass

11 a.m., Feb. 5, Main Street

A former employee was told to stop returning to the old job. The owner of the business complained the former worker was disturbing other employees.

Vandalism

1:33 a.m., Feb. 3, St. John Avenue

A woman called police claiming her fence had been vandalized. Police determined the fence simply fell apart over time.

A car owner said that sometime during the night his parked car was scratched.
