Fred Joseph Wolfe passed away peacefully at home in Half Moon Bay, on Feb. 1, 2009, at the age of 79. Fred was born in San Francisco to parents Fred and Marie Wolfe and attended Mission High School. Fred was a resident of Brisbane for many years and was involved in various community activities, including the Lions Club and Boy Scouts. Fred worked for Sheedy Drayage in San Francisco for over 35 years before retiring and moving to Half Moon Bay.

Fred will be greatly missed by his wife (and best friend) Beverly Smith Wolfe of Half Moon Bay; children Fred Jr., Mark, Diane and Rebecca; sisters Eleanor and Paulette; his extended family Steve, Debbie and Johnelle; and many nieces, nephews and grandchildren. Fred was preceded in death by his brother Bill, sisters Rose and Lorraine and stepson, Tom. Fred enjoyed monthly lunches with friends, playing cards and 49er football. Friends and family are invited to attend a celebration of life on Sunday, Feb. 8, 2009 at 1:00 p.m.at the IDES Hall on Main Street in Half Moon Bay.
