Memorial services are scheduled for Friday, Feb. 6, 2009 at 2 p.m. at Skylawn Memorial Gardens for Mr. Reginald "Reggie" Mark Fowler, 60, of Gainesville, Ga. Rev. Alex Ohlsen will officiate. The family will receive friends following the memorial service. Mr. Fowler died at his home following a brief battle with cancer.

Mr. Fowler was born in Washington, D.C., Jan. 5, 1948 to Oscar Frank Fowler and the late Faye Emma Gove Fowler. He retired from the U.S. Air Force following a long and distinguished career as a Lt. Colonel with more than 20 years of service. Mr. Fowler was employed as a pilot for more than 20 years with United Airlines, as a captain.

Survivors include his wife of 25 years: Moira A. Fowler of Gainesville, Ga., daughter and son-in-law: Tiffany and Jason Shepard of Cumming, Ga., sons: Finbar Oscar Fowler of San Diego, Calif. and Ronan Mark Fowler of Half Moon Bay, Calif., father and stepmother: Oscar Frank "Stretch" and Ruth Fowler of West End, N.C., one grandson: Kyan Shepard of Cumming, Ga., sisters and brother-in-law: Pamela and Alex Ohlsen of Seattle, Wash., and Jackie Fowler of Portland, Ore., brother and sister-in-law: Doug and Linda Fowler of Seattle, Wash., other relatives and loving friends.
