He is survived by his loving brother Larry Centoni and sisters Gloria Remilong and Yola “Bena” Marsh of Half Moon Bay. Adored “Papa Joe” of nine grandchildren (Noelle, Sheila, Michael, Jimmy, Billy, Michelle, Joseph, Johnathan and Christopher) and six great-grandchildren (Margie, Jana, William, Dillon, Tracy, and Kaylee).
A HMB High School graduate, he served honorably in the U.S. Army 739th Military Police Battalion during WWII and was a HMB Volunteer Fireman. He worked in the automotive industry for over 40 years as a journeyman auto body collision repair and refinisher, auto specialist, and service and parts manager. He lived a kind and giving life and will remain well-known for his stained glass, painting and culinary talents, and historical stories of HMB and WWII.
