HMB Police discover man with prescription drugs

Christian Taylor Faith, a 39-year-old Half Moon Bay resident, was served two warrants by police last week, including a felony warrant for possessing a controlled substance and another for reckless driving. While serving the warrant, officers found the man had unprescribed medication. Faith was arrested and taken to San Mateo County Jail.

2:15 a.m., Dec. 4, Highway 1

A 48-year-old female customer got angry at a Safeway employee for moving her cart and tried to kick the employee. The woman was given a trespass warning and told not to return to the store.

Battery

10:30 p.m., Dec. 5, Kelly Avenue

After leaving a bonfire party, two young men were chased and knocked to the ground.

11:50 p.m., Dec. 6, Miramontes Avenue

A person reported being hit on the head by a cell phone thrown by a stranger.

Driving without a license

10:15 a.m., Dec. 2, Highway 1

A 24-year-old driver, who was involved in a car accident, was found to not have a driver’s license. The driver was cited and released. No one was injured in the accident.

Disorderly conduct

1:15 a.m., Dec. 6, Highway 1

A 24-year-old man was found riding a bicycle while drunk. Officers arrested the man and discovered he also carried marijuana.

Hit-and-run

5:35 p.m., Dec. 6, Highway 1

A driver parked his car and later returned to see that someone had backed into the car without leaving any contact information.

ID theft

Nov. 26, Seascape Drive

A woman received a letter from a department store that said her credit card application had been denied. This raised a red flag for the woman who had not applied for a credit card. Her credit reports indicated no unusual account opened in her name.

Missing person

8 a.m., Dec. 2, Correas Street

An adolescent reportedly ran away from home but was later located at school.

9 p.m., Dec. 6, Wavecrest Avenue

Police helped a father locate his missing son. The adolescent was located and returned.

Theft

8 a.m., Dec. 2, Spruce Street

About $40 in cash was stolen from a parked car.

12 p.m., Dec. 3, Mizzen Lane

A 2008 white Chevy Aveo was stolen from in front of the owner’s home. Police searched the neighborhood but could not locate the car.

Dec. 5, Alameda Avenue

A person parked his car for the evening and noticed a canceled check and various receipts missing when he checked on it the next morning.

Dec. 5, Kelly Avenue

An unauthorized charge was reported on a credit card.

Nov. 30, Kelly Avenue

Someone hurled a rock at an electric light outside of a downtown business.

Dec. 6, Correas Street

Somebody threw eggs at a home.

4:53 p.m., Dec. 7, Kelly Avenue

A car was damaged after somebody keyed the side and slashed the tires.

12:02 a.m., Dec. 2, Birch Street

An iPhone was stolen from a car after burglars smashed the driver’s side window of the vehicle.

9:06 a.m., Dec. 1, Seton Coastside Hospital

Somebody vandalized a rear panel on a vehicle, causing an estimated $1,000 in damage. The woman reporting the crime believed the damage was intentional, but there is no suspect in the case.

4:42 p.m., Dec. 5, West Point Avenue

Somebody stole a white real estate post and sign and burned another one sitting out in front of a home. The victim had no idea who would commit the crime.
