Two 15-year-olds arrested for marijuana

A couple of Half Moon Bay High School students were arrested for having a marijuana pipe and for displaying signs of being under the influence. Both teenagers were released to their parents.

12:45 p.m., Nov. 15, Avenue Portola

Someone smashed a car windshield while it was parked in front of an apartment complex.

Alcohol

9:18 p.m., Nov. 21, Highway 92

A 29-year-old restaurant employee was issued a citation for serving alcohol to a decoy posing as a minor. It was part of a police operation in conjunction with state Alcohol Beverage Control authorities.

Annoying phone calls

1 p.m., Nov. 22, Hawser Lane

Someone reported receiving obnoxious phone calls

Credit fraud

4:14 p.m., Nov. 18, Laurel Avenue

Someone tried to access account information of another person’s credit account. The thief was unsuccessful.

Disturbance

12 p.m., Nov. 17, Bloom Lane

Two neighbors started arguing over an apartment garden, requiring officers to respond.

Fire

3:34 p.m., Nov. 18, Highway 92

A vacant residence caught fire, which was promptly put out by fire crews. Fire personnel believe the fire was caused by a spark caused by plumbers soldering pipes at the residence.

Restraining order

3:57 p.m., Nov. 18, Kelly Avenue

A restrained person was seen 35 feet away from the protected person; however both people share the same driveway.

Theft

Nov. 20, Miramontes Avenue

Somebody opened an unlocked car and stole several items.

7 a.m., Nov. 21, Garcia Avenue

Several items were stolen after someone broke into a parked vehicle.

12 p.m., Nov. 22, Granelli Avenue

Items were stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked at a home driveway.

4:02 p.m., Nov. 24, Highway 92

A business owner reported a customer who was trying to return stolen items to his store. Police issued a trespass notice to the customer.

Vicious dog

3:45 p.m., Nov. 20, Coastal Trail

A cyclist reported being bitten by a dog while riding along the Coastal Trail.

Warrant

1:17 a.m., Nov. 22, Highway 92

A 31-year-old was stopped by police for having two outstanding warrants. The man was arrested and taken to jail.

La Honda

Suspended license

2 p.m., Nov. 16, La Honda Road

Two motorcyclists traveling eastbound on Highway 84 were stopped for multiple traffic violations. One of the two bikers was found to have a suspended license. His motorcycle was impounded for 30 days.

Moss Beach

Mountain lion

4:23 p.m., Nov. 17, Ocean Avenue

A mountain lion was spotted on the bluffs near Bernal Avenue. State Fish and Game employees were notified, but a search did not find the lion. Information from neighborhood residents indicated that the reported lion may have actually been a bobcat.

Unincorporated San Mateo County

Drugs

3:48 p.m., Nov. 16, Entrada Way

A paroled man walking along the side of the road was stopped and found to have marijuana. Sheriff’s deputies cited and released the man.

Theft

10:52 a.m., Nov. 18, Wright Drive

Somebody entered an unlocked room of a home and stole various computer items valued at $550.
