A driver piloted his car over the white fog line and veered off into the shoulder of the road. An officer pulled over the 20-year-old driver and found he was drunk after the man failed sobriety tests.
12:52 a.m., Nov. 8, Highway 1
A driver was pulled over for having a license plate sitting on the dashboard. The 19-year-old had alcohol in his car and was intoxicated, but was released with a promise to appear in court.
Indecent exposure
3:48 a.m., Oct. 6, Kelly Avenue
A female resident found a stranger in her living room, exposing himself. When the woman asked what he was doing, the man apologized and ran away. The man was described as 30 to 40 years old, Hispanic, weighing about 180 pounds and wearing a beanie. Officers contacted a suspect matching the description nearby, but the woman could not positively identify the man.

12:05 p.m., Oct. 6, Highway 1
A toddler ran out of a doctor’s office while the mother was talking with a front-desk clerk. Officers found the 1-year-old child quickly, right outside the clinic.

Someone with a restraining order was leaving phone messages against the protected person.

Someone with a restraining order against him told a mailman to put the protected person’s mail in his mailbox. The man told the mailman the woman was on vacation and he was accepting her mail.

A man violated his restraining order by contacting a protected woman in person.

A business owner reported an older man who was coming into the store and making lewd comments to his young female employees.

Homeowners were suspicious of muddy footprints left throughout the backyards of their houses.

5:38 p.m., Nov. 4, McNee Ranch State Park
An unknown suspect broke a passenger window to scrounge through a car parked at the state park. Nothing was taken, but the cost to repair the window was estimated at $500.

1:28 p.m., Nov. 5, Los Banos Avenue
Somebody broke into a garage while the homeowners were away on vacation and poured paint over wood panels, the garage door and the floor. Also an unknown liquid was poured into a car gas tank.

11:01 a.m., Nov. 8, Johnston Pier
A 24-year-old wearing a Halloween mask was harassing customers at the harbor. The man told deputies he was the Half Moon Bay Chief of Police and was working with the FBI, CIA and was worth more than $92 billion. The man eventually revealed he was bipolar and normally takes several medications — but he hadn’t any meds that day. The man was taken to San Mateo County Medical Center for a mental evaluation.

2:25 p.m., Nov. 6, Capistrano Road
Deputies noticed a 48-year-old woman was sitting in her car, bobbing her head up and down as if she was going to pass out. She was arrested before she could drive away.
Warrant
1:51 a.m., Nov. 3, Highway 92
A 22-year-old driver was arrested for an active warrant after being pulled over for having no license plates on his car. According to the Sheriff’s Office, the driver acknowledged the warrant, saying, “I’ve been lying low, hoping you guy’s wouldn’t catch me.”
