Boggs leads Coastside to win

Aslan Boggs rushed for 183 yards and scored two touchdowns and two extra points as Coastside defeated Mountain View, 20-18, in a Junior Pee Wee Pop Warner football game, Sept. 28.

Quarterback Frank Lemos scored. He also completed a swing pass to Boggs that set up Coastside’s first score.

Boggs rushing numbers are a credit to the offensive line, led by Sean Baird, Anthony Klingele and Cody James.

Pablo Gutierrez-Hernandez and Max Jenkins came up with key tackles. Christian Donahoe recovered a fumble. Alex White intercepted a pass. Ryan Stefko recorded a sack.

In other Pop Warner action, the Junior Midget team lost to Mountain View, 28-8. Josh Morrell rushed for close to 40 yards and scored. Adrian DeLeon kicked the 2-point PAT.

The Midget team fell to Cambrian Valley, 33-6.
