Officers were called out to intervene in a fight between a drunken man and his girlfriend. The woman reportedly slapped the man, claiming she feared for her 18-year-old son’s safety after her boyfriend engaged in a verbal confrontation with him.

A tenant had an asthma attack after a fight with an RV lot manager.
11 a.m., Sept 28, Main Street
A car alarm went off for two minutes. Nearby residents told officers that the car alarm had been going off previously at all hours of the day.
Drugs
5:52 p.m., Sept 17, Highway 1
Deputies stopped 39-year-old Michael Raines of Half Moon Bay and found he was driving with a suspended license. With Raines’ permission, officers searched him and found marijuana, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
5:28 a.m., Sept 24, Highway 92
Police were asked to check on hysterical transient at a Half Moon Bay store, who claimed he was being chased by several vehicles. Officers determined the 39-year-old man was on a controlled substance and arrested him.
Missing person
1:43 a.m., Sept 29, Grove Street
A woman was reported missing after she failed to return home after running an errand. The woman contacted police later, explaining that she had overslept at a friend’s house.
Public intoxication
9:34 p.m., Sept 27, Highway 1
Two drunken women reportedly refused to leave a taxicab after the driver repeatedly asked them to get out. The driver eventually removed the women by force. One of the women fell onto the ground, receiving minor scrapes.
Reckless driving
5:50 p.m., Sept 29, Wavecrest Road
Someone “spinning donuts” in the gravel lot at Smith Field reportedly damaged another vehicle at the baseball field.
Suspicious person
Sept 28, Lewis Foster Drive
Someone at Half Moon Bay High School was reported carrying a flare. Police located the flare, but the suspect left before officers arrived.
Theft
1:24 p.m., Sept 24, Main Street
A doormat and various yard decorations were stolen from the front yard of a home.
Sept 27, San Benito Avenue
A resident received a scam letter claiming he had won the “International Lottery.”
Trespass
11:34 a.m., Sept 26, Purissima Street
A transient man was found in an outside closet of a building. The man was issued a trespass warning by officers.
9:21 p.m., Sept 26, Myrtle Street
A tenant reported that his landlord was repeatedly entering his unit. The man told police that he was asleep when his landlord, a 46-year-old woman, entered his unit, yelling profanities and refusing to leave. Officers counseled the man, but made no arrest. Twenty minutes after leaving the residence, officers were dispatched again to the same home for the same reason. The tenant placed the landlord under citizens arrest and she was transported to jail.
