| Bonnie J. Duffy Published/Last Modified on Wednesday, September 24, 2008 11:53 AM PDT Bonnie J. Duffy died Sunday, September 21, 2008. Born August 16, 1946 in Millbrae, Calif., where she grew up. She graduated high school from Capuchino High where she met her husband, Daniel. They came to Half Moon Bay in 1975 to raise their children. Bonnie was a wonderful mother and the most selfless and compassionate friend to all who knew her. She gave to those less fortunate without hesitation and led her life as an example to those around her. She received her B.A. in education from San Francisco State University in 1968. After graduating college, she taught for many years as a grade school teacher and later with the Head Start program in Half Moon Bay. She was very active in the Mormon Church where she held many callings, her last of which was Relief Society President and was very involved with compassionate service. She is survived by her husband of over 40 years Dan; son, Matthew, of San Francisco; daughter and son-in-law Lisa and Andy Ridgway, of San Francisco; daughter and son-in-law Karen and Jon Morris of Bakersfield; son Logan of Half Moon Bay; two grandchildren, Elle and Jack; parents, George and Geraldine Angerbauer of Millbrae; sister Jeri Calder of Brea, Calif.; brother Rick Angerbauer of Sandy, Utah. A viewing will be held for Bonnie on Friday, Sept. 26, at 10:30 a.m. with services following at 12:00 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 475 California Avenue in Moss Beach, with Bishop Dan Child. A private interment ceremony will follow at the cemetery. She will be forever missed by all who knew and loved her. |
