A routine traffic stop uncovered a plastic bag of cocaine. The driver, 20-year-old Robert Cuellar of San Francisco, was arrested and taken to county jail. While in a search cell, officers discovered three more plastic bags of cocaine in Cuellar’s left shoe. In his right shoe, officers found a bag of marijuana.

A 47-year-old La Honda man was arrested after assaulting a family. Christopher Klingele was arrested on two charges of assault along with misdemeanor charges for battery, burglary and making threats. An Emergency Protective Order was given to the family.

A woman reported that her husband struck her. The 53-year-old man was determined to be the primary aggressor and was arrested.

Two laptops were stolen from an unlocked residence when the family was away.

Officers assisted fire squads in extinguishing a grass fire, which is suspected to have been caused by fireworks.

A Half Moon Bay resident found a note on his car, which said that a white Lincoln knocked a garbage can onto his car. The driver of the Lincoln was located, and said she didn’t know another vehicle had been damaged.

A driver backed his car into the vehicle parked behind his and drove off, leaving no contact information.

A Half Moon Bay resident reported discovering his personal information was used to send money from his bank account to Nigeria. The man was reimbursed $1,557 from his bank.

Police located an unoccupied vehicle that had been reported stolen from Newark.

A mailman was attacked by an angry dog. The postal employee was able to fight off the dog with his mail bag, but he said this was the third time the dog attempted to attack him.

A man reported discovering that an unknown person had been added to his bank account. Apparently, the man’s Social Security number had been stolen and used to modify his bank account.

A resident reported hearing someone revving a car loudly in her front yard. The driver of the vehicle was reportedly swearing loudly. Deputies later located the driver and found she was drunk.

Burglary
11:55 a.m., Sept 16, Highway 1
A thief smashed open the driver’s side window on a locked car. The burglar took a woman’s purse containing credit cards and two Canadian passports, worth approximately $700.
DUI
6:20 a.m., Sept 14, Highway 1
A driver was found unconscious, slumped over the center console in a car parked on the shoulder of the road. The car was running and stopped against the highway guardrail. Deputies woke the driver and found that he was slurring his words and couldn’t focus on the conversation. It was later determined he was on prescription drugs.
