Catherine Nina Dewey

Cathy Dewey, 45, of Lookout, Calif. died early the morning of September 11, 2008 following a stroke.

Cathy was born in Boulder, Colo. on November 6, 1962. Her family soon moved to Pacifica. Cathy attended schools in Linda Mar, Montara and Half Moon Bay. In 1980 Cathy graduated from Wilderness School. She worked as a cook at Romano’s Restaurant in Rockaway Beach, Pacifica and at Ketch Joanne’s Restaurant in Half Moon Bay. Cathy moved to Modoc County in 2000, where she pursued her real love, taking care of the elderly.

Cathy was a loving mother to both of her sons, and a faithful friend to her family and friends. She touched many lives with her humor and antics. She will be greatly missed.

Survivors include her sons Ronald and Russel Webb, her mother Helen Matthews of Ajo, Ariz., her two sisters, Cristin Dhieux-Bray of Emigrant, Mont. and Carolyn Dewey of Pacifica, her niece Cheyenne Bray of Emigrant, Mont. and uncle Robert Vetter of Pacifica. She was preceded in death by her father, Ronald Dewey.

Services will be held Saturday, September 20, 11:00 a.m., at Good Shepherd Church, 901 Oceana Blvd. Pacifica followed by a reception at Nick’s Restaurant in Rockaway Beach, 100 Rockaway Beach Ave. Pacifica.
