Field set for LPGA tourney

The 20-woman field for the LPGA Samsung World Championship Golf Tournament was finalized Tuesday morning. Two-time defending champion Lorena Ochoa headlines the field.

Three-time Samsung champion and San Jose State University graduate Juli Inkster is also in the field, as is Annika Sorenstam, a five-time Samsung champion, who has announced she will retire from the LPGA this year.

Also in the field are Yani Tseng, Ji-Yai Shin, Helen Alfredsson, Inbee Park, Paula Creamer, Karrie Webb, Seon-Hwa Lee, Suzann Petterson, Na-Yeon Choi, Cristie Kerr, Jeong Jang, Eun-Hee Jim, Angela Park, Katherine Hull, Song-Hee Kim, Hee-Won Han and Angela Stanford.

The tournament will be held on the Ocean Course of the Half Moon Bay Golf Links Oct. 1-5.
