Michael Gordon Meyer (Mikey) was born in Palo Alto, Calif. on November 27, 1986 and passed away suddenly in Columbus, Ohio on August 24, 2008.

Michael is survived by his parents: Teresa Boyd and Wayne Meyer, his five siblings: Michelle, Lori, Christina, Christopher and Rene. He also will be greatly missed by his grandmother, his aunts and uncle and his nieces and nephews: Brianna, Jack, Emma, Nicco, Brendan and Alexis.

Michael grew up in Moss Beach and attended Wilkinson Elementary School, Cunha Middle School and graduated from Half Moon Bay High School in 2005. He will always be remembered for his smile, generosity, his love for his dogs, sports, the beach and for making people laugh.

Michael lived for his family and friends and for helping troubled youth. He touched the hearts of all those lucky enough to have known him.

Friends and family are invited to a Celebration of Michael’s Life on Tuesday, September 2, 2008 at 4 p.m. at the Community United Methodist Church in Half Moon Bay. A new route to school


The morning commute just got better for some Coastside students, their parents and anyone else who must pass a local school in the way to work. SamTrans routes 17 and 294 have changed to make the bus ride more convenient for those at area schools.
