John H. Gilroy

John H. Gilroy died at age 76 on August 16, 2008 of an illness at Stanford Medical Center. John was a native of Brooklyn, New York but had resided in Half Moon Bay for the last 31 years.

John was a prominent business owner and engineer. He served during the Korean Conflict in the Marines.

John is survived by his two daughters, Corrine and Mary Gilroy; grandchild Robin Lewis and great-grandchildren Nicolette and Anthony.

Visitation will be Wednesday, August 20 and Thursday, August 21 from 2-8 p.m. A vigil will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. at Miller-Dutra. There will be a Funeral Mass on Friday at 1 p.m. at Our Lady of the Pillar Church. Interment at Our Lady of the Pillar Cemetery.

Contributions can be made out to the Cancer Society, Palo Alto Medical Foundation, 2950 Whipple Ave, Redwood City.
