Customer threatens bartender for bad service

A Princeton restaurant reported three men causing problems the night of July 17. The manager told deputies that one man urinated on the restaurant floor, next to the kitchen refrigerator. The same 39-year-old man was also seen climbing on top of the bar, threatening the bartender and throwing food at his friends and others in the restaurant. The man said he would not have threatened the bartender if he had been treated more nicely. Deputies arrested the man for public intoxiction.

1:34 a.m., July 18, Coral Reef Road

During a traffic stop, deputies reported they could smell alcohol in a vehicle. The 29-year-old driver admitted he had been drinking. He subsequently failed the sobriety tests.

Vandalism

11:16 p.m., July 19, Avenue Cabrillo

Somebody smashed the driver’s side window of a car parked in front of an El Granada residence.

Half Moon Bay

Barking dog

5 p.m., July 23, Grove Street

Neighbors were complaining about a barking dog. When officers arrived, they could hear the dog barking, but they could not locate the owner. An animal complaint was left at the owner’s residence.

July 22, Myrtle Street

A citizen was receiving numerous unwanted text messages. Officers gave the device owner information on how to use the “Do Not Call” registry.

DUI

10:18 p.m., July 26, Highway 1

A driver was reported to be swerving recklessly and driving on the wrong side of the road. Officers located the vehicle and arrested the 27-year-old driver for drunken driving.

3:01 a.m., July 26, Highway 1

Officers pulled over a driver speeding down the highway. The 24-year-old driver failed sobriety tests and was arrested.

3:32 a.m., July 27, Miramontes Point Road

A driver was pulled over for reportedly running a red light. Officers discovered the man was driving on a suspended license and had no car insurance. The 26-year-old driver was also violating his probation and was in possession of marijuana.

Hit-and-run

8:30 a.m., July 27, Poplar Street.

A sports car reportedly was speeding and crashed into a speed limit sign. The driver left the scene before officers arrived.

Indecent exposure

9:45 a.m., July 26, Poplar Street

Officers responded to complaints of a 52-year-old man walking outside with his pants down.

Information only

10:47 p.m., July 25, Main Street

Officers responded to a report of a business serving alcohol to those under the legal age. Management was contacted and identifications of all suspects were checked. Everyone was of the legal drinking age.

Trespassing

12:58 p.m., July 22, San Mateo Road

Police responded to an unexplained 911 call in which the caller hung up. When police arrived at the business where the call was made, they encountered a customer creating a disturbance. The business owner requested the customer be given a trespass admonishment.

Unlicensed driver

2:42 a.m., July 26, Highway 1

A driver was pulled over for not wearing a seat belt. The officer discovered the 32-year-old driver was unlicensed and uninsured.

8:56 p.m., July 17, Acacia Street

Deputies responded to a report of a drunken person who was acting wildly. When they arrived, deputies found a man who was belligerent, yelling profanities, and had blood coming from his nose. After getting the man under control, the deputies placed him under arrest.

9:27 p.m., July 13, Culebra Lane

An intoxicated man was reported blocking the road. When Sheriff’s deputies found the 49-year-old man, he had a bicycle upside down in the middle of the street and the bike chain in his hands. He was having trouble speaking or standing upright, so deputies arrested him.

8:06 a.m., July 14, Princeton Avenue

A man reported someone stealing two deep-cycle batteries from a boat that was parked in the storage yard.

Unincorporated San Mateo County

Vandalism

10 p.m., July 18, Moonridge Housing Complex

Somebody used black spray paint to write “NORTE X SK 4” on the housing complex sign sometime overnight.
