One of the three Oakland men arrested for breaking into vehicles along the Coastside earlier this month has pleaded no contest to four counts of car burglary.

Charged with stealing 65 items out of cars, the three men allegedly led police on a lengthy chase up Highway 1 into Pacifica. The chase ended when the suspects drove over a police spike strip, which punctured tires on the getaway vehicle.

So far only one of the suspects, 18-year-old Tony Alvarado, has entered a plea. Last week, Alvarado pleaded no contest to four of the nine counts of burglary, and he will be sentenced in August. His suspected accomplices have not stated their plea yet.

All three suspects remain in custody on $200,000 bail.
