The two suspects denied the assault. Battery 12:05 p.m., June 26, Lewis Foster Drive Two girls began fighting at the high school, each claiming the other had started pushing. Both were arrested by a responding officer. Burglary 5 p.m., June 28, Mill Street Stereo equipment and credit cards were stolen from a vehicle. Police say the burglar likely used a slim jim to access the car. Disorderly conduct 12:41 a.m., June 28, Amesport Landing A suspicious man was reported to be sitting in a tree peeping into a residence. Police could not find the subject, reported to be a white man dressed entirely in black. Disturbance 10:20 a.m., June 28, Main Street A transient man locked himself in a business bathroom and refused to get out. An employee said the man left before police arrived, but he was yelling and swearing at her as he went. DUI 1:08 p.m., June 24, Highway 1 Police were called about an intoxicated driver. They pulled over a 43-year-old Half Moon Bay man and subsequently arrested him and took him to county jail. Grand Theft 7 a.m., June 28, Valdez Avenue About $800 worth of stereo equipment was stolen from an unlocked vehicle. Harassment 1:30 p.m., June 23, Alsace Lorraine A caller reported that her daughter’s ex-boyfriend was harassing her with phone calls. 5 p.m., June 24, Main Street Police found a 14-year-old girl who had run away from home and they “admonished her for her behavior,” according to police reports. Open container 10 p.m., June 29, Kelly Avenue An officer was flagged down by several citizens, who brought him to a man passed out at the wheel of his parked car. The man was arrested for public intoxication and having an open container in a vehicle. Vandalism June 28, Main Street Someone cut a hole in a business storage tent, and is believed to also have stolen a tire from a car. Montara Burglary 7:05 p.m., June 20, Gray Whale Cove Unknown suspects broke a rear window to steal a purse hidden inside a car. Items stolen were worth about $900. 6:46 p.m., June 24, McNee Ranch A thief broke a rear window to steal a bag containing a wallet, credit card and cash. About $300 was taken. Loose dog 8:35 a.m., June 19, 2nd Street A local woman said that a dog jumped her fence to chase a cat, scaring her young daughter. The woman spoke with the dog’s owner, who promised to better control the animal in the future. Princeton Stolen vehicle 6:32 p.m., June 19, Pillar Point Harbor Deputies were called on a report of a stolen vehicle. A man told them that a man named “Steve” had taken his car and wallet. Deputies later found the car parked at a local bar. The car owner told them it was all a misunderstanding. |
