Sam grabs a Bone

Published/Last Modified on Wednesday, Jun 11, 2008 - 01:56:36 pm PDT

Rock radio station “The Bone,” KSAN 107.7-FM will be at Sam’s Chowder House on the Coastside from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday.

Radio veteran Steven Seaweed of The Bone will put the Coastside on the map when he broadcasts his daily program from the restaurant’s outside bar.

The broadcast is part of “The Bone Home Town” program, which highlights rock music-loving, diverse communities.

Guests from the community will have opportunities to spin a big wheel, to raise proceeds that will be donated to charity — in this case, to HOPE services, the Half Moon Bay-based program that serves, and builds confidence in, local individuals with developmental disabilities by helping them find work in their communities.

HOPE will be represented at the event by community support facilitator Evelyn Bealby.

Sam’s is located at 4210 N. Cabrillo Highway. For information, contact co-owner Julie Shenkman at (650) 242-2133.
