Man with history of DUI picked up again

Published/Last Modified on Wednesday, Apr 30, 2008 - 01:10:53 pm PDT

A 56-year-old San Francisco man was arrested by San Mateo County Sheriff’s deputies at 8:37 p.m., April 19 on Highway 1. He was outside of his vehicle and urinating on the shoulder of the road when deputies approached, and quickly got back in his car and fled the scene. He was stopped — after deputies watched him repeatedly cross the fog line in the road — and asked for his license. He admitted he didn’t have one and that he had been drinking. He was taken to county jail. Deputies later learned the man was wanted for an unresolved DUI with four priors in Arkansas. Arkansas won’t extradite unless the wanted party is being held in an adjacent state.
