Police gave a 26-year-old Pescadero resident citations for having no license, no proof of insurance and an expired registration.

Police cited a 20-year-old El Granada resident for driving without a license and having a modified exhaust.
Drinking and driving

Police cited three underage males for being in possession of alcohol after stopping the driver for an illegal turn.
Harassment
11:30 a.m., April 13, Main Street
Police were called when a wife called her husband’s place of employment about 30 times to ask about a set of keys. The business owner declined to prosecute.
Missing child
11:10 a.m., April 16, Miramontes Avenue
Police were called about a missing 6-year-old at Hatch Elementary School. The child was found hiding in a box in an adjacent classroom.
Probation violation
5:55 p.m., April 17, Myrtle Street
A man came into the police station to report that a second man had intentionally hit him with his car. Police say they knew both men to be rival gang members and reported the incident to the district attorney to see if anyone had violated terms of probation.
Shoplifting

Police arrested a 48-year-old Santa Cruz man for stealing $38 worth of alcohol and meat from a store.
Stolen property
1:35 p.m., April 17, Frenchmans Creek Road
Following up on a tip from Oakland police, local authorities arrested a 23-year-old Half Moon Bay man for receiving stolen property after finding him with a car that had been taken from its rightful East Bay owners.
Suspicious circumstance
4:16 p.m., April 13, Redondo Beach bluff
Two women reported seeing a man who appeared to be masturbating. Police could not find the man.
6:15 p.m., April 17, Pilarcitos Avenue
A man told police that his roommate heard a loud banging on the apartment wall. When they went outside to investigate, they found that someone had left a dead bird on the doorstep.
Theft
6:15 a.m., April 12, Alameda Avenue
Two neighbors reported things had been stolen from their unlocked cars overnight.
11 a.m., April 13, Alameda Avenue
A thief stole a digital camera from an unlocked vehicle.
5 p.m., April 18, Highway 92
Store management suspected an employee of stealing merchandise and selling it. So they set up a sting, with marked money and a fake customer, who subsequently purchased $400 worth of goods from the employee. Police questioned the suspect, a 44-year-old Moss Beach woman, and found her in possession of the marked money. She was charged with grand theft and embezzlement and taken to county jail.
Trespassing
7:20 p.m., April 19, Kelly Avenue
Police arrested a 57-year-old transient after a resident found him in her backyard and performed a citizen’s arrest. She was told how to get a restraining order and the suspect was charged with trespassing and a probation violation and taken to county jail.
Vandalism
5 p.m., April 12, Poplar Street
Someone broke out the window of a parked car.
7:30 a.m., April 13, Hawser Lane
Someone broke out the back window of a vehicle that had been parked overnight.
Welfare check
8:48 p.m., April 11, Roosevelt Boulevard
An out-of-town relative called police when she couldn’t reach an elderly member of the family. The woman had fallen and needed medical attention.
Warrants
9:44 p.m., April 16, Spruce Street
Police responded to a call of a suspicious vehicle and quickly learned the car was reported stolen from Stockton. Nearby they contacted 26-year-old Jesus Walker, who had keys to the car. Police also learned there was a felony warrant for the man’s arrest. He was charged with giving false information to police, receiving stolen property and taken to county jail.

Police cited a 30-year-old transient for an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.
