Pescadero High School ended its girls' basketball season Feb. 11 with a 38-29 loss to Bay Counties League Central Division champion International.
Pescadero led the Jaguars at halftime and beyond. Its biggest lead was 15-6.

Pescadero's roster fell to five due to illness and ineligibility.
International, a mix of 11 players of all shapes and sizes with solid talent throughout, looked to be ready to make quick work of the Vikings. However, it was Pescadero with the lead at halftime.
"I was so happy that we were in the lead," Talbot said.
Fatigue appeared in the third quarter, however.
"We were trying our hardest," said Angelica Mendez. "But with just five players, it was hard."
Mendez and Talbot combined for nine steals. Each had nine rebounds, along with Hayley Strohm. Strohm paced the Vikings with nine points with Lindsay Curran scoring eight.
"As the season continued, we got better," Talbot said. "We played with our hearts."
The Vikings knew they had played hard when it was over.
"When I got home, all I did was eat dinner, shower and go to bed," Mendez said.
The Vikings finished the season tied for sixth in the league at 1-11, 3-20 overall.
"I am very excited for next year," Talbot said. "I hope we have a summer league. If not, I hope we just get together to play."
